Give yourself a health boost with sprouts and microgreens

Spring time is when I start growing sprouts and microgreens again. The sun makes them grow quickly and in 7 – 10 days you already have a tray of nice sprouts. Microgreens grow on soil and take a bit longer to get ready. Mostly around 21 days or so.

You can add them to sandwiches, salads, soups, green shakes, omelets and lots more.

Sprouts and microgreens are easy to grow, easy to digest and packed full of vitamins and minerals. They will give you that boost you need coming out of Winter. They have a lot more nutritional value than their mature sized vegetables. They are packed full of enzymes which helps with digestion.

They may also help reduce the risk of diseases like heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes and certain cancers. They are also great for skin repair. Pretty powerful isn’t it.

Give it a go. It is an easy way to give your health a boost.
